■大原美術館　-OHARA MUSEUM OF ART-
昭和５年、倉敷の素封家　大原孫三郎が設立したもので、ギリシャ神殿風の本館の中には世界画壇の巨匠作品が多数展示されています。ツタにおおわれた石垣、門を入るとロダンの彫刻「洗礼者ヨハネ」、「カレーの市民」の像が迎えてくれます。隣接して、分館、工芸館、東洋館があります。

■倉敷考古館 　　-KURASHIKI ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM-
江戸時代の米倉を改築して昭和２５年に開館しました。吉備地方の出土品を中心に考古学資料を年代順に展示しています。中橋と柳並木に映える考古館は美観地区の代表的なビューポイントです。

■倉敷民芸館　-KURASHIKI MUSEUM OF FOLKCRAFT-
倉敷の代表的な米倉を改装したもので、白壁に黒の貼り瓦が美しいコントラストを描いています。館内には古今東西の民芸品約８００点が展示されています。東京の日本民芸館についで建築されたという歴史をもっています。

■倉敷アイビースクエアー　-KURASHIKI IVY SQUARE-
もと江戸幕府代官所のあった場所で、クラボウ発祥の地でもあります。敷地内には、アイビー学館、倉敷記念館、児島虎次郎記念館、などがあり、赤レンガにツタのからまるこの界隈は若者に人気の的です。

	１、観龍寺 ９８５年（寛和元）年堯盛津師の開基。長州奇兵隊の槍跡が左くぐり門にある。 Kanryuji Temple This temple of Shingon-sect was Founded by Gyoserissi in 985.		２、今橋 大正１５年に架けられた橋で、児島虎次郎デザインの竜が見事。 Imabashi Bridge Built in 1926, this bridge incorporates a skillfully rendered dragon-design of Torajiro Kojima.
	３、雁木（がんぎ） 江戸時代そのままの石段が５ヶ所。 荷物の積みおろしに使用していた。 Gangi These and other like steps were used to lade and unload raw materrials and manufactured goods.		４、中橋 明治１０年に架けられた橋で、橋桁が一枚石の太鼓橋になっている。 Nakabashi Bridge The atched bridge was built in 1877 and made from a single stone slab.
	５、金比羅常夜灯 １７９１（寛政３）年に建立されたもので、倉敷シンの遺構として貴重。 Night Light placed here in 1791, this stone lantern serves as a reminder of manysuch lights once liming the Kurashiki Canal.		６、高砂橋 １８４６（弘化３）年の石橋で、もともと今橋の所にあったものを移設した。 Takasagobashi Bridge Kurashiki's oldest bridge was originally a wooden bridge constructed in 1600 and positioned in front of the present Ohara Museum of Art. In 1846, it was rebuilt in stone and repositined to its present site in 1926.
	７、石だたみの道 江戸時代の米俵の運搬道で、車のわだちができないようにしている。 Stone-paved Path These raised stones were laid to ease the passage of carts running from the canal to the kuras and mills.		８、井上家住宅 倉敷では最古の町家で、３００年を経ている。防火用倉敷窓が特長。 Inoue House Possibly the oldest house in Kurashiki, it is noted for its early usage of a type of fire shutter observable on the second floor.
	９、本栄寺 １７９８（寛政１０）年から本栄寺と改めた。倉敷義倉創設者、岡雲臥の墓がある。 Hon-eiji Temple This temple of Nichi-ren-sect moved to its present location in 1625 and in 1798 acqired its present name.		１０、阿智神社の表参道 全国でも珍しい石段で御影石の一枚石を使い、一段一段構造している。 Achi Shrine Approach Quarried locally, these single stone steps lead to the Shrine and a 500-year-old wisteria.
	１１、町屋の馬留金物 （駒繋ぎ） 読んで字のごとく馬をつないでおく金具。江戸時代のなごり。 Komatsunagi Metal fittings, such as these embedded in house foundations served to terher horses or bullocks.		１２、洗濯場（川西町） 生活の匂いのする洗濯場。家の中に川の水をひいたユニークなもの。 Laundry What a better way to wash your clothes in your own private water-front laundry facitities!
